Jonathan Lau.. hmm.. my batch mate.. my colleague and now, he is my teammate..
He was supposed to be in 59th batch but broke his collar bone during ACCT phase. Mr Ong was very satisfied about his performance durng ICCT phase, so he allowed him to stay on.. and joined the 6oth batch course once he recovered.. i'm 60th batch instr... and both Jon and i were pretty close during the TKD phase.. encouraging one another.. helping one another out..
When we finished our in-house training.. we went to different team for on-job training.. and from there.. we hardly heard from one another..
next thing i heard was he was punished for improper turn-out during lesson failure to comply with direct orders.. and then soon after.. he was charged from absent from place of duty... SOL 28 days... one week before his release, the team ICs and the boss had a meeting... deciding Jon's fate.. thank God, he was allowed to stay.. but the next question is, which team would he go? none of the team ICs dare to take him in. so.. i volunteer to take him..
he's a born again christian that strayed during his JC years.. doing stupid things out of peer pressure... i thank God that i have a chance to make a difference in his life.. 2 weeks with me and the boss has already started looking at him differently.. they found him more committed in the things he do, life in his eyes, pride in his work...
it's all God.. the only thing i remembered me doing.. or rather saying.. is.. "God is with you, nothing you do can separate you and HIM" and i shared a little with him.. Praise be to God.. He allows me to speak a word of life to him... it is a great privilege.. and my boss thought that it was me that changed him...
how amazing and generous is our GOD.. that HE gives us the opportunity and the grace to do HIS work and by HIS grace.. bless us for what we done for him.. HE is simply looking for ways and means to bless us.. i'm writing this down to remind myself that all works are began and finished by HIM..
