Recently there's a rise in the number of people asking me this question..

Why do i feel unappreciated? Why don't they see my talents?

Sad to say, most of them are non-believers..

"Sadder" to say, most believers feel that way and they kept it to themselves..

My question back to the rest of the world. Does it really bothered you that much that no one appreciates you? Then do you appreciate your parents who faithfully brings home the bacon? The auntie that cleans the toliet? The bus driver/train operator that makes sure everyone is safe? The toliet flush, the tap, the tap, the shower? Your hands, legs, and all functional bodily parts?

Do you help others so to be a hero? Or are you a hero because you help?

God brought me back to a show i watched long ago.. when this wise man asked his young disciple "hear the sound of the flower blooming.."

Flower bloom without sound by the way, if you are wondering..

Flowers are beautiful and it has no need to declare "out loud".. It simply shows..

This is not a post to all who feels unappreciated but one to those who has a misconception about serving, or helping, in the world context...

Feeling unappreciated is NORMAL! but the crust of it is what comes after those emotions.. Dont run around making a public spectacle of yourself, telling the world that you are such a great help and all.. You will only return home feeling worse..

Go back to the cross.. For my friends in the world.. Go to Jesus.. and believe in HIM..

Before i was born again, i always tell my kids, "if you so choose to HELP, DO NOT expect anything in return including a thank you! If you do expect anything. Don't help at all."

This statement is only half-correct.. Cuz without Jesus, good intentions can become a law..

I believe in this statement very much as well when it comes to serving.. because we serve unto God, not man.. "if you so choose to SERVE, DO NOT expect anything in return from man, including a thank you! If you do expect anything from man, Don't help at all." This statement becomes wisdom when you put Jesus into the picture..

Col 2:22
22 Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.
23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for[a] you serve the Lord Christ.

These 3 verses put it across plainly... How you should serve, why you should serve, and where you reward comes from... Wait wait.. hmmm.. verse 23 says... "whatever you serve"?

NO.. it says.. "Whatever you do" Whatever means.. Whatever, What so ever, everything! you do.. do it heartily, in sincerity of heart, not for man to see nor as men-pleaser. Do it unto the LORD. and JESUS shall give you the reward of your inheritance..

Oh ya.. by the way, if you think reward needs to be earned by how well you do? read again.. it's reward of THE INHERITANCE...

Litmus test for all who dare... please be warned.. this is not for the faint-hearted and those that are easily self-condemned..

Do u Dare to walk away quietly joyful and happy when no one notices what-so-ever you do/help/serve in?

Look to the Cross..
